Nat | UniquelyMade Session in Seattle, WA

Preparing for Nat’s UniquelyMade session looked a lot like getting to know her—to learn about her present day, and a moment in her unfolding story.
Being a mom, wife, artist, career woman, and mental health advocate….how do we capture a moment that holds space for the woman underneath it all?
How do we even make space to capture her beyond the roles and expectations she carries?
That’s what we aimed for during our session: creating a space to capture a personal, artistic, quiet, and intimate side of Nat.
Not performing. Just being.
I asked her, "How do you want to be captured?"
Nat said, "A personal, artistic, quiet, more intimate side of myself...no façade, just an acceptance of God's gifts and and a promise to myself to honor and nurture them through joy and peace."
She followed my direction to move freely, to play, and to get comfortable -
She followed my direction to sit in stillness and silence, holding space.
I followed the direction through what Nat shared: the parts of her story that have received acceptance, and the parts that we offered grace to.
Thank you, Nat, for trusting me to capture just a moment of your story this year. ✨🌾
