Mt. Rainier Engagement Photography, Paradise Mt. Rainier National Park in Washington

My close friends Monica and Stephen gave me the honor of photographing their engagement photos!
These two are adventures, so I knew this session was going to be one.
The original day we scheduled this shoot had a forecast of clouds and rain. Although we were unsure of what to expect, we all decided it was best to schedule for the following week with hopes of better weather.
Although I’m always down for a cloudy/rainy session, we knew we really wanted to the see the mountain and that means mostly clear skies.
We woke up at 4am and made our way to Mt. Rainier National Park and the sky went from dark to lovely blues as the sun was coming up. Right when we parked in Paradise, Mt. Rainier at 6am - the sun had just hit the top of the mountain and we knew it was worth it.
For the next couple hours we explored in the wildflowers, warm morning sun, and gorgeous pitstops in Myrtle Falls and Reflection Lake for a cribbage break.
This day was perfect with friends, adventure, and all the summer beauty Mt. Rainier has to offer.
Their wedding will be in summer of 2026…and I can’t wait!!
